Grade 6 Science Course Description
The 6th-grade curriculum focuses on life science. Students begin the year with a review of the scientific method with a focus on the steps of the scientific method, types of scientists, and tools. In life science, students will focus on the characteristics, classification, and diversity of plants; including seeded and seedless plants, and animals; including fish, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals. In addition, students will explore bacteria/viruses, cycles of nature, heredity, and the interaction of living things
