What is Internship Program?
The Internship Program at East Haven High School (EHHS) provides students with an opportunity to gain real-world experience and prepare for future careers within their chosen career cluster. Admission into the program is offered on a rolling basis throughout the school year. Interested students should contact the Work-Based Learning (WBL) Advisor (Mrs. Robinson) or Work based learning Liason (Mr. Fernandez). Students may secure their own internship opportunities, which will be reviewed and approved by the WBL Advisor, or they may work with the WBL Advisor to identify and obtain an appropriate placement. When appropriate, the student, WBL Advisor, and school counselor may discuss modifications to a student's schedule, including early dismissal, to accommodate internship participation. However, many internship experiences may occur outside of regular school hours.
