Mission Statement
The East Aurora School District will provide environments, experiences, materials and professional talents to help each student prepare to live in society as a contributing, self-fulfilling and caring citizen. The school will endeavor to develop, in each student, a lifelong desire for knowledge and the skills to acquire it. The school will promote learning in the context of common sense, hope for a better future and a deep respect for humanity.

About me
My name is Jessica Lyons and I started as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction in August of 2021 but I'm not new to East Aurora schools! Before, during and after receiving degrees in Chemistry, Science Education and Educational Administration from the University at Buffalo and Canisius College I taught HS Chemistry in East Aurora from 2004-2010. From 2010-2017 I worked in the City of Tonawanda Schools as an Assistant Principal (6-12) and a Principal (6-12, 9-12 and K-3). In 2017 I returned to East Aurora as the Principal of Parkdale until I assumed this new position in 2021. My experience at all different grade levels has helped prepare me to lead the Office of Curriculum and Instruction (K-12) here at East Aurora.
