Students at the elmentary level are introduced to a variety of mediums and art experiences aligned to the New York Arts Standards that foster a basic understanding of the art elements and principles of design.
Students at EAMS continue to build proficiency in their understanding of the art elements and principles of design. They are exposed to a variety of art mediums and experiences aligned with the New York Arts Standards.
EAHS students may take Studio in Art to meet the arts graduation requirement. Students may also take a sequence in art to meet the requirements for an advanced Regents diploma with one unit of a language other than English and 5 units of art. Students may take a variety of courses as electives to round out their educational experience.
High school art classes are geared towards proficiency and mastery in alignment with the New York Arts Standards.
