Students at Parkdale use Scholatistic News as a teaching tool.
Kindergarten: Holidays, Family, Community, Listening & Learning Modules
1st Grade: All About Me, Rules & Laws, Where People Live, We Love Our Country, Our Changing World, Meeting People, The Market Place, Map & Globe Skills and Listen & Learn Modules.
2nd Grade: Communities, Economics, Government & Listen & Learn Modules,
3rd Grade: Map Skills & Geography, Country Reports, My Community, Government, Goods & Services and Citizenship.
4th Grade: NYS History, Maps & Globes, Our Community, Citizenship, Branches of Government and Political Parties.

Middle School
Students in EAMS focus on:
5th Grade - the Eastern Hemisphere
6th Grade - the focus shifts to the Western Hemisphere
7th and 8th Grade - students chronologically examine the U.S. and New York State through a historical lens
Students will develop an understanding of concepts and key ideas through inquiry, analysis of primary and secondary source documents, and disciplinary skills and practices.

High School
Students at EAHS will develop note taking strategies using a variety of formats. Students will interpret documents, demonstrate understanding of the bias of different authors, and analyze charts, political cartoons and maps. Next, students will analyze the information, combine it with outside information and write an essay that answers the question. Students will write Constructed Response Questions and Enduring Issues essays.
