Technology Overview

Middle School
Students at EAMS
6th grade students take a 10 week course to learn the fundamentals of text and block based programming. Students also learn about the design process and the fundamentals of studying technology education.
7th grade students take a 10 week course to learn how to use wood/woodworking tools to create a variety of products. Students learn how to safely operate machinery, measure using an inch ruler, dimension a design, and process materials in order to create a final product.
8th grade students take a 20 week course and use the Middle School STEAM lab in order to learn about 21st century skills and the design process. Students utilize commercial design software and rapid prototyping technology to see their creations come to life in real time
High School
Students at EAHS have an opportunity to take the following 40 week Technology courses:
