Business Department Overview

Parkdale

Students in grades 2nd - 4th:

• meet once per cycle

• focus on Keyboarding skills and Computer Literacy skills 

• emphasis on career options when applicable

Middle School

Students at EAMS take Business every other day

• 5th grade students take a full 40 week course

• 7th and 8th grade students take a 20 week course

Skills emphasis includes computer literacy skills, career development, basic business related content, incorporation of soft skills and preparation for high school success.

High School

Students at EAHS grades 9-12 have elective options consisting of .5 or 1.0 credits. 

• .5 credit courses meet everyday for 20 weeks

• 1.0 credit courses meet everyday for 40 weeks

 Electives consist of:

•  career development

•  financial skills

•  business content

•  college preparation

•  personal success
