United Community Action Partnership is a joint effort to bring together area resources to effectively and efficiently address the growing needs of our local communities in southwest Minnesota.
UCAP offers innovative programs and services to address meeting basic needs, education, employment training, transportation services, housing counseling, affordable housing solutions, emergency services, transportation, community economic development projects, after-school programs (Head Start and Early Head Start), weatherization, energy efficiency, asset-building, financial literacy, VITA tax services, thrift stores, child development, and services and opportunities for returning military veterans, home-bound seniors and people with disabilities.

Most programs do not have a payment fee, other than our community transit program.

Bridge to Benefits is a project by Children’s Defense Fund-Minnesota to improve the well-being of families and individuals by linking them to public work support programs and tax credits. Bridge to Benefits also has a direct referral system that connects families to local organizations that help with the application and enrollment process for the program for which they appear eligible.
