After experiencing first hand the need for advocacy within the community, an idea was formed and with the help of many supporters in this area, that idea has developed to the organization it is today

Our sober living homes are open to all men and women (ages 18 years and older) who have completed a primary care program for alcohol, drug, or gambling addictions.
Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Program
A key part of our mission is to operate a program designed to help perpetrators of domestic abuse or community violence. We believe that everyone deserves to live a life free from the threat of violence. We also believe in the ability for individuals to grow and change through structured education and accountability of the offender. Suitable participants for this program must be male, and they must be willing to follow all program rules, as well as willing to take full responsibility for their behavior.

Adolescent Diversion Program
Our Adolescent Diversion Program is specially designed to serve the needs of youth who are at a high risk of abusing alcohol and/or other mood-altering chemicals. This program aims to educate adolescents, parents, and families on the harmful effects and consequences of alcohol and drug use through education and communication. Due to the extensive impact chemical use and abuse has on the family, it is required that a parent or legal guardian attend along with their respective adolescent.
Vanguard Center for Gambling Recovery
Our Vanguard Center for Gambling Recovery is a residential program solely for those suffering from problem gambling. Beginning with a comprehensive, realistic personal treatment plan, the Center offers men and women – ages 18 and older – the tools necessary to begin their process to recovery from gambling and discover some of the obstacles in their lives that may challenge long-term recovery. Located on our Granite Falls Main Campus, it offers a safe, serene environment for individuals to rediscover life without gambling.
Family Recovery Program
Our ‘Family Recovery Program’ provides valuable education on alcohol, drug and problem gambling addictions for the family members of our patients. This fundamental daytime program offers families the opportunity to interact and connect with other families experiencing the same or similar issues. All while expanding their education on their loved one’s addictive illness, providing support. The families learn the importance of their own self-care and honest, open communication.
All of our programs are designed to meet the specific needs of every individual who comes through our doors. We apply a holistic approach to treatment. This is done by encompassing mind, body, and spirit as components of a healthy life. Our programs and services use an abstinence-based model of care that incorporates education, counseling, fellowship, and general health with the supportive network of 12-Step recovery groups. Individualized care plans allow patients to work on both general issues affecting everyone and specific issues that meet their individual needs.

House of Hope offers several different outpatient tracks to meet the needs of diverse levels of care and populations in Mankato. Traditional step down programming, co-occurring, drug court track, and individual tracks are available.
Participants of non-residential programming have access to specialty groups provided in residential treatment on a voluntary basis; including psychiatric services, Celebrate Recovery, GED, pre-employment education, life skills development, and pastoral care.
Day and Evening Intensive Non-Residential Programing
The Intensive Non-Residential Program is created for those with long term use who have not had a recent treatment episode. Clients “Step Down” as they progress through the program. The length of each phase is dependent upon client progress, completion of treatment plan goals and attendance. Average times are shown.
Phase 1: lasts 6-8 weeks with group 3 times per week plus a minimum of 1 weekly individual session
Phase 2: lasts 4-6 weeks with group 2 times per week plus a minimum of 1 individual session every 2 weeks
Phase 3: lasts 2-4 weeks with group 1 time per week with at least 1 individual during phase 3
Aftercare is a 1-hour group per week for 4-6 weeks or as recommended
The Day Program holds groups Mon, Wed and Thurs 9am-12pm
The Afternoon Program holds groups Mon, Tues, Thurs 1-4pm
The Evening Program holds groups Mon, Wed and Thurs 5-8pm
Individual Tracks
Shorter, individualized tracks can be done within either the traditional or co-occurring groups when referred for this particular program via assessment, discharge summary or counselor recommendation. It is best suited for those who are transitioning out of long term residential care (90+ days) or previously completed a treatment episode and have experienced a brief relapse. Length of treatment, number of individual sessions and groups each week are dependent upon recommendations, the participant’s individual progress, completion of treatment plan goals and attendance, but will typically be shorter than the “step down” program.
Group three times a week and integrated with the regular IOP Step Down Program (see schedules listed for the appropriate program above).
Weekly individual sessions are scheduled with your counselor.
For clients who may not benefit from group they may receive recommendations to complete individual sessions only without groups per their treatment plan.

GED Program
The House of Hope’s, GED Program officially began in January, 2006. The program was inspired by the efforts of a House of Hope client who had been assisting other clients in the development of math, reading and other academic subjects, as a way to enhance both his and their recovery efforts. The understanding, that successful recovery from chemical dependency and addiction is based on a sense of empowerment, through the successful completion of personal goals, is what the GED program is all about.
GED has quickly become an extension of the services already provided by House of Hope, Inc. Clients who do not possess a high school diploma or GED are provided the opportunity to participate in the GED program as one of their treatment plan goals. The length of treatment services does not always allow for a client to obtain their GED.
The House of Hope, Inc. Build Fund provides scholarships to clients participating in or who have successfully completed any House of Hope, Inc. program. They will be provided an opportunity to pursue their GED at a later date at no cost to them.
House of Hope, Inc.’s mission is to provide integrated residential and non-residential treatment services to adults. Our goal is to increase their desire for ongoing recovery from substance use and mental health disorders.
