There are some characteristics in Lord of The Flies that were originally utopian characteristics but they have descended into being dystopian in chapters two and three. When the boys arrived on the island, there were no adults which meant they could have their own independent thoughts, freedom, and they can create and build what they want. But as chapters two and three go on, the children not being governed turns into a bad thing.
"But this is a good island. We―Jack, Simon and me― we climbed the mountain. It's wizard. There's food and drink, and―"
"While we're waiting we can have a good time on this island."
There are many dystopian characteristics in Lord of The Flies that are brought up in chapters two and three. One of the dystopian characteristics is that the boys are divided up by how strong they look and are treated differently. Also, the boys on the island have to scavenge for food every day and have no currency.
None of the littluns on the island help. . If it rains they have no shelter to protect themselves, and they have no meat and they have to scavenge for food everyday.
