Veritas Debate Institute

Veritas is a Saturday school program that offers advanced courses in social sciences, debate, and critical thinking for motivated students. This year at Veritas has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my academic journey. From the very beginning, I was pushed beyond my comfort zone, especially in the Debate Institute where I faced collegiate-level assessments and initially struggled to meet expectations. Failing my first assessment was a wake-up call that taught me the importance of preparation, precision, and critical thinking. But instead of giving up, I chose to reflect, grow, and come back stronger. Through active participation, asking better questions, and learning how to define complex prompts, I developed not just as a student but as a thinker. Veritas taught me resilience, sharpened my communication skills, and gave me the confidence to engage in high-level discussions with maturity and insight.
