I’ve been in Scouts since first grade, starting as a Cub Scout and continuing my journey into Boy Scouts, where I’m now a Star Scout in 10th grade working toward earning my Eagle Scout rank. Over the years, I’ve been part of four different troops and have gone on countless trips and camps across the United States. Scouting has taught me how to be an effective leader, how to step up and take responsibility, and how to work with people from all walks of life. It’s been an amazing experience full of adventure, personal growth, and new friendships. One of my favorite memories was a one-week backpacking trip in the mountains of New Mexico, where my troop and I hiked over 50 miles. This was an unforgettable experience that challenged me both physically and mentally, and reminded me of what I’m capable of when I push myself.
