My 8th grade year was my first year running track and I loved everything about it from my team to the practices even to the events I was doing. After having an amazing first year after following the footsteps of my sister and grandfather I decided to run again for my freshman year. Freshman year was definitely a change in everything. I got my body in the best shape and I learned how to long and triple jump. This year I focused on running a 400 and although I hated every single part of it I learned how to breathe while running and I hit a personal record. My sophomore year I took a break from track for mental and physical health reasons but I might be ready to start again for my junior and senior year.
Two out of my three years in middle school I was apart of the national beta club. Although covid shut down the schools we still had meetings and tried to go to convention virtutally which I personally didn't participate in because it wasnt the same as going in person. For my freshman year I got inducted again for the highschool beta club and went to my first convetion in savannah my sophomore year. This year I participated in living literature and helping my friend sydney run for vice president.
The first semester of my junior year I was awarded the high honor roll certificate and also join The National Honor Society and The National Spanish Honor Society. I am so excited to be active in these clubs and join many more!
