One of my most important aspirations at this stage in my life is to pursue higher education by attending college. Both of my siblings and my mother have gone to college, and their experiences have inspired me to follow a similar path. I believe that college will not only help me grow academically and professionally, but also personally, by exposing me to new ideas, people, and opportunities. While I have not yet chosen a specific college, I plan to explore a variety of options, including institutions outside of Georgia. Unlike my siblings, who stayed closer to home, I am eager to apply to colleges out of state so I can experience living in a new city and broaden my horizons beyond Atlanta.
The major I’m interested in is widely offered at colleges throughout the United States. I chose this field because I envision myself working in a structured business environment after college—possibly within the tech or automotive industries. My goal is to secure a position in either the marketing or finance sector, or even in one of the many career paths that value a psychology degree. I’m especially excited about being part of a college community and exploring more analytical and thought-provoking courses. One class I’m particularly looking forward to is psychology, especially those that involve discussions on human behavior and debates about why people act the way they do.
