For this project, I chose Vincent van Gogh as my inspiration because I admire his unique brushwork and expressive style. I was particularly drawn to his famous painting Starry Night, which influenced the swirling sky in my own artwork. To create a piece that reflected Van Gogh’s style while still making it my own, I chose to depict a natural landscape and incorporated a similarly dynamic, swirling sky. During the creative process, I made intentional changes to the shading and proportions in order to experiment with mood and perspective. These edits allowed me to blend Van Gogh’s influence with my own artistic interpretation, resulting in a piece that both honors his legacy and expresses my individual style.
