My group was Me, Nadiyah, and Kambell we made pottery that was connected to the Columbian exchange like a plate with Spanish patterns on the top, a bowl that represents the earth with its color, a cup that represents the water, moon spoon and sun fork. I made the Bowl and cup.
This was for our recipe cards, in this project we had to combine everyone in our groups cultural or personal important ingredient. Then we had to make a recipe or dish and make a card with instructions on how to make it. I worked with Amani, Jordyn, Brandon, and Nia and I contributed the pasta portion of the Dish
For this portion of the PBL we created tessellation's by drawing out a weird design on four sides of a note card and then we cut it out. Lastly, we traced it onto a paper, and it would look like puzzle pieces. On the Tesselation I represented Obesity in America, and I represented this putting a Human body in the middle with junk food surrounding it. I put the message that read, Treat your body right.
In this project, we were randomly assigned a country using a spinning wheel. Based on the selected country, we had to choose one entrée and one dessert to research and present. I chose to make arroz con gandules as the entrée and quesitos as the dessert. I included the list of ingredients and detailed, step-by-step instructions needed to prepare both dishes.
