For this project we had to pick something that represents growth and create it on Tinker cad. To do this, I looked up a YouTube tutorial of a flower and made it.
For this project, we were told to create a stop-motion video of something that represents growth! I chose to showcase the growth of flowers (as you can see flowers were my theme).
This is the second portion of the overall growth representation stages. We were tasked with creating 3 or more AI generated images, that all represented the theme of growth.
We used a website called MakeCode to practing coding. Displayed to the left is a certificate for the completion of one of the levels.
This Ancient Civilization Architecture project about how geometric shapes were used in ancient civilizations, like Chinese Society or Classical Mediterranean. We worked in groups of 2-3 and presented the slides we created to our class.
Lots of foods contain misleading statitics or facts that persuade you to buy their food. To learn more about this my partner, Amelia Vinson and I, researched and created a presentation on vegan burgers, and how misleading their food nutrition can be. We also created a poster that a vegan burger company might use misleading statistics in.
For extra credit, I created 2 posters explaining how far away grocery stores are from places and how that leads to lower health rates in those food desert citites.
Working with partners, we made a video explain how to find missing sides and angles of a right triangle, using trig ratios (sin, cosin, tan).
For this project, each individual was given a country to research. After we researched that country, we were supposed to make a poster that either persuaded the country's people to want more babies or less babies. My country Italy has one of the lowest birth rates, so my poster was for more babies, pronatalist. I added important data from my country, a persuasive photo, and a unique slogan.
Everyone was assigned a topic to make a poster for Unit 4 of APHUG.
At the beginning of the year, we were assigned a partner project to make flashcards of places/topoymns in Georgia.
For Unit 3 of APHUG, we created a dodechahedron, a 12 sided shape, with pictures represetning a religion.
We created a music video in APHUG on types of maps.
We were assigned this stimulation game as review for our EOC Test.
To the right, you see the dichotomus key I created about candy. You use the paper and discriptions to find the correct candy on the displayed.
To represent the process of mitosis and meiosis, we did a jelly bean lab. To the left is a picture of the lab in progress.
For multiple units, like cellular processes and evolution we used blooket as a studying tool.
Another lab we did was representing diffusion of water, which is osmosis. We put gummy bears into 4 different liquids and wrote how the candy reacted.
We wrote a paper on one of the main themes addressed in Romeo and Juliet.
As an introduction to Romeo and Juliet we created a KWL chart, writing down facts that we know, want to know, and learned after reading about Shakespeare.
While reading Lord of the Flies, we filled out a character chart describing each main character in the book.
We created an argumentative essay on whatever topic we wanted. I chose, Should the U.S. government allow immigrants to become American citizens?
Hola!
For our spanish project, we researched human trafficking. The article I read informed me that most human trafficking happens to vulnerable people, in this case women and young children. It is very common in Latin America and the Carribean. This is an important topic to know about so you can help inform and help others dealing with human trafficking. It's also helpful to learn so that you can avoid encountering human trafficking and help put it to an end. I think this topic is very important to know and learn about. Human trafficking is an issue that has a significant impact on our community. Many young women and children are affected by human trafficking in many ways. This is important to my community because many people are afraid about their experiences of human trafficking. If we talk more about it, people feel more comfortable.
As a second part of the human trafficking project, we created an infographic. This is to capture your eye and inform you about human trafficking.
We created a menu based off of popular dishes in a Latin American country.
At the beginning of the year, we created a google slides about ourselves and recorded it on video. We posted it on Flipgrid. CLICK HERE
