The Bridge to Employment program(2023-2024) is a program at Georgia Tech that helps youth increase the percentage of them enrolling in higher education and increase the number of students pursuing careers in STEM sectors. In this program, we toured different museums and had many speakers come to the Georgia Tech campus to speak to the students about their jobs and how they made it in the world. e also conducted different STEM labs and learned more about many STEM sectors.
The Istem Work program provided Black male students with STEM learning experiences that increased our exposure to innovation and creativity in the STEM disciplines. In this program, we took the roles of designers, scientists, and orators to present our projects, such as a filtering water bottle, and a 3D-printed computer science part. This program allowed us to explore different parts of STEM while networking with many professionals, at Morehouse College.
Project Engages is a high school science education program developed at Georgia Tech in partnership with seven minority serving public high schools in Atlanta. The main focus of this program is to raise the awareness of students to the world of engineering, science, and technology through real-world, hands-on research projects led by Georgia Tech scientists and to expose students to the career path possibilities in engineering and science.
