This project was to recreate the Power Fist, which usually represents civil rights, for a different 60s movement. I chose the American Indian Movement, or AIM. The American Indian Movement emerged during a time of civil rights struggles, aiming to address police brutality, broken treaties, and cultural erasure. This project concludes my year of AP United States History.
I made this one pager to help myself study period 5 specifically for my AP test, and it also helped me, with its colorful drawings, helped the information stick into my brain.
For this project, me and a group looked at many cultural controversies that were happening in the 1920s. We looked at fundamentalism specifically, which is the though process of keeping a traditional christian idea and promoting it, and the different problems it had in the 1920s with examples like the Scopes Monkey Trial.
For this quick project, we were tasked in our groups to create a poster that showed and represented the steps leading up to the American Revolution. Our group decided to do a creative volcano approach, with certain events leading higher and higher until the volcano exploded into the American Revolution.
