In science class, we were given the assignment to create a pendulum out of popsicle sticks, marbles, string, and glue. We had to hot glue the marbles and strings together. Then, we had to create the base for the marbles to sit in. After, we had to glue the string and marbles on the top of the base. Lastly, we had to glue the last 2 popsicle sticks on top and cut the excess tape off. Even though it looks easy, it took a lot of time to do. We had to make sure the marbles were perfectly alligned in order for the pendellum to work.
In science class, we were given the task to create a rocket out of simple household items. An empty plastic water bottle, plastic straws, masking tape, a spoonful of baking soda, and vinegar. After we put together the rocket, we had to go outside, place the baking soda inside the bottle, shake it, and then step away. This helps us learn about Newton's 3rd law of motion which is every action has an equal yet opposite reaction. The elements of art used are color and form. Color because the rocket had different colored straws, corks, and bottles. Form because of the 3D shape of the bottle and the straws and cork shaped like cylinders.
