Wide Open Spaces- GSU Singfest

On September 14th, our school attended the Georgia State University Singfest Event. We sung with almost 250 kids from other high schools. These are one of the songs we performed called Wide Open Spaces.

Fall Chorus Concert

This video is our chorus concert containing all of the Elementary, Junior, and Senior Academies. Senior Academy sang the songs Viva La Musica, Wide Open Spaces, and Sanctuary. Sanctuary was a milestone since it was the first song that we ever performed with all 3 academies.

Shine the Light- GSU Singfest.

On September 14th, our school attended the Georgia State University Singfest Event. We sung with almost 250 kids from other schools. This is the other song we sung called Shine the Light, which includes lyrics from Let it Shine.

Winter Chorus Concert

This video is of our chorus concert containing EA, JA, and SA. On the first piece called "Christmas Canon", I accomponied on piano while all 3 academies sang along. We also had songs called "Like A River In My Soul" and "Various Themes On Falala". Various Themes on Falala, involved different interuptions of classical themes like Beethoven's 5th and the 1812 overture which we had confetti canons shot by the seniors!

Spring Chorus Concert

This recording is of our spring chorus concert. This concert was way off from what we normally do in the spring! We all picked a theme for this concert which was Disney. In the last half of the concert, we had a sing off between 1A (my class) and 2A. The winner was able to receive Waffle House as a prize! Our group won with over 75% of the total vote! Our songs were "Kiss the Girl" from the movie The Little Mermaid and "I've Got A Dream" from the movie Tangled. Both teams had to teach themselves their own pieces, pick the costumes, and choreograph their own pieces. This was a very exciting experience and hope this will become a school tradition in the future.
