Follow these step to ensure a smooth home inspection process for your agent and their client
Refer to the agent/team’s list of preferred contacts either in DREAMNet or OpentoClose.com to reach out to their inspectors
Confirm:
when the agent and client (if permitted) if the home inspection was already set
when it will take place or when they would prefer to have it take place
If it’s a pay at close
Call, email, text, or use the inspectors website to set the inspection
Info for inspections can be drawn from the property details in OpentoClose, the submitted documents, and the MLS
Ensure you, the agent, and client (if permitted) received a confirmation of the home inspection details
Enter the home inspection details into the calendar via OpentoClose
Click on property details and click “Home Inspection Date”
Enter the details in the pop up screen
Enter the Date and time
Add the address
Include the agent and client (if permitted) in the reminder by checking the box next to their name
Add it to the API Calendar
If an agent requests to reschedule the home inspection, confirm two new best dates and times that will work
Call the company you scheduled the home inspection with. Provide them with the:
Address
Name of client
Date home inspection was scheduled
Politely let them know that it needs to be canceled and ask if they have one of the two new best dates and times available.
If so: Schedule, then ensure you, the agent and the client get confirmation
If not, use a Google search to find home inspectors that are in the area. Speak with each home inspector (up to 7) until you find one that offers one of the dates and times and the agent's criteria (e.g. pay at close)
Get a confirmation for yourself, the agent, and the client
Change the date via Opentoclose.com and resend to the agent and client (if permitted)
