Day and Night Model Making

As the Earth moves around the Sun it rotates on its axis, so we have day and night .The side of the Earth facing the sun is bathed in light and heat (day time). The side of the earth facing away from the sun, out towards space, is darker and colder ( nighttime).In this way the Sun and Earth are related to each other .

To make children understand the process of day and night, and the relation between Sun and Earth, the Day and night model making Activity was conducted in Grade 2.Children made working models of day and night very nicely and enthusiastically .

They also made videos of working models.They were really happy and excited throughout the activity.
