On 16 th October Math with us Nashik Activity planned for Grade 2 students was “ Kangaroo Hop”. It was a number line activity including numbers from 100 to 1000. Number lines are a big deal especially with little learners joining the math game. Number lines are (in a sense) the address to where a number lives. It helps children to visualize the relationship of one number to another.

As children develop in mathematical thinking, using a number line will be a critical part. Number lines help give a visual representation to the abstract nature of addition and subtraction.

The activity was related to solving Addition sums using a number line. Class Teacher told the students to use their own creativity while marking the number line and playing it indoor or outdoor as per their choice. Students followed Teacher's instructions and demo given by Teacher.
