This site provides a child-friendly platform for students to learn about coding. Young beginners do not even have to know how to read to start solving these engaging web-based problems. This site uses popular characters from Star Wars, Disney, and Minecraft to attract student attention. Students are already hooked on completing the leveled problems when the logical thinking activities get challenging.

I have seen students from all different backgrounds get excited about coding during these hour-long sessions. Teachers can also use the code.org curriculum to provide hands-on activities to deepen student understanding of computer science. This program reaches many children who otherwise may never have any experience with the behind-the-game scene of coding.
