Destination Imagination is an organization that sets up opportunities for students to stretch their thinking. These opportunities come in the form of groups of students with an adult leader. The students work together to present their solution to one of the challenges. The specific challenges change each year while the general categories stay the same: Technical, Scientific, Engineering, Fine Arts, Improvisational, Service Learning, Early Learning and Instant Challenges.

Students must develop their own solutions using their own personal brainpower and building skills. No one outside of the group can interfere and help give them ideas...including their leader. DI is powerful because it helps students increase their creative and critical thinking skills through hands-on activities and fun, peer interactions. Parents and teachers can get involved through leading a team. For teachers, leading a team will help them integrate the thinking activities into their own lessons. Parents will learn how creative their child can be, watch them take risks and see them shine when they show off their new skills!
