APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
The project workshop introduces the students to working in 3D design, VFX and game design, through cross-discipline work paced by the development of a common project. An open window on the production world, made of different professional roles and specialisations that the students will get to know in-depth also through possible collaborations or simulations.
The programme grants 10 credits, divided as follows:
APPLIED DIGITAL MEDIA: 4 CFA
VFX LAB: 6 CFA
Successful students will be able to:
Position individual professional roles in a real work context
Perform critical analysis of a project work
Understand individual positions, roles and functions within a work team
Confidently manage the different media involved in order to devise a project and subsequently implement it
APPLIED DIGITAL MEDIA:
A general, introductive session is focused on understanding the professional scenario and its specialisations in the field of Virtual Productions
VFX LAB:
Fundamentals of Unreal Engine for the production of VFX
Fundamentals of Unreal Engine for the management of external systems such as motion capture and video input
This is a theoretical/project based course.
The students will take part in the following activities, which may vary depending on the development of different projects:
Classroom lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Exercises and revisions
Workshops
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
Assessment tools may include:
Graded exercises
Completion of a project
Further details about the exams will be provided by the professors.
The final grade will result from the weighted average of the programme modules.
