"Its just easier as a recipient, not knowing where the source is or if it’s unsolicited, that raises some alarm bells. In terms of moving beyond that point and saying that this is a credible source of which we have sort of signed and agreed and centrally we know that it can hold sensitive information, that then feels way more of a useful solution that we can adopt in our business to help us and give us confidence that our information is not going to be accessed elsewhere…then what we would do is unless it’s through that portal (DBI) we wouldn’t respond to it (Unsolicted emails about ID).
'Is it truly a single sign-on? in terms of is it like a gateway sign-on or is it a single sign on for this thing but actually it's another thing that i have to remember.'
“That would be the best way forward that it would be open to, you know, a wider scope of organisations or businesses that could could provide that facility…if they've got a preference towards a bank or a preference towards an insurance company, per se. I think it would be a far better way of providing that option, and also reassure businesses that it's not just one organization that's holding all that data.” P14 Medium Sized Business
'If you saw me on video, you'd see me screwing up my face. I don't actually want any choice, like I don't understand it well enough to be able to make a rational and informed decision. The idea that I have to choose. You know, it's annoying enough that I have to house insurance, choose bla bla bla. I registered my company with companies house...surely they have the responsibility, like stop making me choose things. I've got enough to do, I want to run my business, I want to go out and get sales, i want to write good copy, I want to get paid, I want to go home and watch TV, I dont want to make decisions about things I dont really understand' Micro business.

'Our sector (recruitment) is unregulated, low barriers to entry, with minimal investment. So for that reason it attracts, every man and their dog to become a recruitment agency over night. But what clients are more mindful of now is how long a company has been trading for, what the leadership team looks like, how financially robust they are, if they've been paying their taxes on time and correctly, to which we tick all those boxes, and we’d be very keen on that (DBI) because it would provide some level of validity. Firstly it would mean that every time we go through the process it wouldnt be very labor intensive, it takes a lot of time to turn around, often with the bank's getting that information to the bank through the procurement into HR then back to us can take two or three weeks…I think they'll be really useful' P8
'That makes absolute sense because this is no different from what the due diligence companies do on us when they're doing credit ratings...you know when you get into the due diligence or whether you're going to be viable. Absolutely. I think that's fine.' P7
