We never know what type of weather we will have but we need to be prepared for anything and everything!
As for the list, keep in mind, a nice windbreaker(raincoat) and a fleece layer would great. I do not believe you will need a winter coat.
No open toed shoes will be allowed to be worn outside the cabins.
Running shoes are the best to bring because they dry fast, we do tons of walking and they are great for rock climbing.
Please review this with your child as they are packing for the trip. I strongly encourage a small camera.
WATER BOTTLE
At least a 32 ounce bottle
Daypack
NO DEHYDRATION ALLOWED!
NO CELL PHONES OR TECHNOLOGY OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED ON THE TRIP
Digital cameras are encouraged
Middle school will be attending extended field trips that may require you to send medications with your student. All medications must have an appropriate form filled out, signed by a parent and physician, and be accounted for and turned into Kiersten Martinez three days prior to departure of their Field Trips. Attached is a Parent Checklist for extended field trips and a medical form for prescription and over the counter meds that must be signed by the parent and physician. An asthma plan/anaphylaxis plan must also be signed and turned in for Inhalers/epi pens. If your student already has a plan(medications) here at school for the school year - you will not need to fill out these forms, we will send their medications with the delegated teacher.
Departure: Monday, September 15 (mid-morning) on school buses
Return: Thursday, September 18, arriving back at school around 2:30 pm
No Middle School: Friday, September 19
We are blessed with our overnight parent chaperones already in place.
Opportunity: We’d love a couple of parents who could join us for a Day-Trip Style role (Right after breakfast until dinner) on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday to help cover one or two groups during the activity.
Please review the full Packing List & Snack Shack Info.
Must-Haves: A raincoat (we do activities rain or shine!) and good walking shoes. Crocs and flip-flops are not allowed during activities. BRING A WATER BOTTLE....
Label belongings when possible, this helps a lot with lost & found!
Please complete all health forms with Mrs. Martinez as soon as possible.
See What to Expect at Camp for meal information.
Spending money for the Snack Shack is explained in the packing list
Activities include Rappelling, Rock Wall, High Zipline, Gagaball with your teachers, and much more!
Everything at IdRaHaJe is Challenge by Choice—students will be encouraged to stretch themselves, but never forced to do an activity.
This year, we will be leaning into the truth that God is our Father and desires a relationship with us. We can’t wait to see how He works in and through our students during this time.
We will do our best to take many photos and will share in a Google Photo Folder after the trip so you can experience the highlights with your student!
Don't Forget
If you have not registered your student with IdRaHaJe, please do so here: https://idrahaje.org/outdoor-education/information-for-group-participants/
