Middle School Chapels are every Thursday and begin at 9:11am.
Families are welcome to join us for our chapels.
The exception would be Faith Families.
Families are more than welcome to arrive to school early and grab a cup of coffee in the Thunder Grounds prior to or after chapel.
Please note - No food or drink in the Performing Arts Center (PAC).
Families enter through the main lobby where you will be greeted by DC staff.
Students are in the seats. Families are welcome to sit in the mezzanine.
Families will likely need to park in the overflow lot.
We look forward to you joining us for chapels.
My door is always open for you. Rather you want to chat, pray or even just someone to listen. Remember to never attempt to face life alone, we are built to stand together. "WE are ONE".
As we go through this process lets remember our theme verse: Mark 12:30-31 "To love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is not commandment greater than these." "We are ONE"

What Do You See?
In the year 1862 a dutch ophthalmologist by the name of Herman Snellen created what would become to us as the Snellen eye chart. This is the chart used in many of our eye exams still to this day. Updated of course, but designed to check the acuity of our ocular vision. Even to this day this chart is one of the most famous posters in American history. He wanted to find a way to not only test, but measure how a person sees the world. Mr. Snellen understood that how a person sees the world, can often affect how a person lives in the world.
Now our bible is clear. We walk by faith and not by sight. Hebrews 11:1 also reminds us that true faith is the assurance of what we cannot see. So why did Jesus call the pharisees blind guides? It wasn’t because they could not physically see, but because they could not see spiritually. Why does our bible say we as believers are called to bring sight to the blind? Because, so many Christians get distracted by what we physically see and allow it to blur our spiritual vision. The bible even says that those who don’t’ know God have been blinded.
2 Corinthians 4:4
“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”
In everything that God does for us, one of his ultimate goals is to reveal himself. Reading the bible should reveal him, going to church should reveal him, praise and worshiping should reveal him, prayer and study groups should reveal him. It was all designed so that you and I could “see” God. However, God doesn't want those to be the only times you 'see' him. God wants nothing more than for you to get to know him and in order for that to happen, he wants reveal himself to you everyday and in every situation. Seeing God means to see his love for you. See his creation and his workmanship. See his covering and plans in your life. See his joy and peace in your daily duties. Even to see his invisible attributes, is to see God himself.
Romans 1:20
"For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."
Whatever you may be facing today, KNOW that he is there. Don’t just wait for church, or chapel to experience him. See him in every moment of your day. The prescription to see God, is to become pure in heart. Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God” Matthew 5:8
Pure in heart is the one who seeks God, follows his commandments, which is to love God and love your neighbor. I challenge you to look for God in your daily duties, daily schedule, alone time and even time with friends and family. He is there. No matter how dark or heavy life may feel, look for him. See God.
As a reminder, don't forget our upcoming Night of Worship next week March 14th & 15th starting at 6:00pm at Denver Christian! This will be another great way to "SEE GOD!"
Everyone, have a wonderful weekend!
