Denver Christian is a large family of community builders, and we are blessed to be supporters of Sox Place. Over the last couple of years, the DC community has collected nearly 4,000 pairs of socks for Sox Place. Their service to the community does not stop at socks; they still have real needs. They have shared some of their more pressing needs for this year. During our January 30th Faith Families, we can continue to bless them by collecting used backpacks, gloves, hand warmers, and blankets, and we can help fill their pantry. The pantry needs are pasta, pasta sauce, creamy soups and chili. During faith family time we will write encouraging notes, pack the backpacks with donated items and pray for those who will receive these items.
Sox Place exists to bring the Father’s heart to the fatherless, through physical, spiritual, emotional, and social provisions to urban youth subcultures.
Sox Place is a center for homeless/at-risk youth in Denver.
The Robinson family is an active part of our DC family with two children attending here. Here are two videos that you can learn a little more about the Robinson’s and Sox Place.
