Hi DC Community, 

My name is Beth Naylor and I am the 8th grade English teacher here at DC. For the past four years, I've had the privilege of coaching our middle school speech and debate club, and it has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. Unfortunately, I will not be able to continue as coach this year due to other commitments. However, I'm eager to help find passionate people who might be interested in taking on this rewarding role. 

Our speech and debate club is home to a truly exceptional group of talented and motivated students who are eager to continue developing their public speaking, critical thinking, and argumentation skills. The program is already well-established with all the foundational elements in place – from practice formats to competition schedules and resources. 

What we're looking for: 

● People interested in coaching (no prior speech and debate experience required!) 

● Individuals who can work as part of a coaching team 

 ● People who are enthusiastic about helping students build confidence and communication skills
