Bill came to Denison from New York. He was a graduate of Midwestern College. Upon graduation he stayed in Denison. Bill began his teaching/coaching at Denison Middle School. He later became Principal, Curriculum Director, Associate Superintendent and then Superintendent. He had a positive influence on Denison Middle School students, parents, and his colleagues. Dr. Wright was a strong supporter of the State Academic Decathlon. In the community he served on the Denison City Council and was a board member of the Donna Reed Performing Arts Foundation. Everyone who knew Bill knew that his philosophy of positive attitude certainly showed in his work.
