Al Neppl 2007
Al Neppl is a Denison High School graduate and furthered his education at the University of Northern Iowa. Upon graduation he taught art at Cherokee and then came to Denison and taught elementary art. He was also involved as a track coach; the athletes were successful in various events. During his art teaching, Al was diagnosed with cancer. He had support from students, colleagues and many other people in his challenge with cancer. At the elementary level the art students were recognized for outstanding artwork. Al moved from the art area and became Assistant Principal. Al was an important member of the Alumni Board and was willing to assist in the Alumni Association.
