Indicator 1: WICOR, Scaffolding, and Rigorous Instructional Practices
Since a large percentage of our staff is AVID trained, this year we have focused on doing refreshers on the AVID strategies. Our principal highlights a strategy in each of his weekly emails. Our staff showcases strategies at faculty meetings and SIT/AVID/PTO meetings. The BT (Beginning Teachers) monthly meetings include professional development on AVID strategies. Our staff also participate in Learning Walks to other faculty member's classrooms to encourage other teachers and to get fresh ideas.

Indicator 2: Collaboration Through PLCs
Our PD sessions meet monthly and are geared toward departmental PLCs. These teams discuss schoolwide systems and develop plans to promote a college and career going culture and streamline schoolwide instructional practices.
