Indicator 3: Community Activities
This is the AVID's community service log which is a living document. We keep all of our service activties because we can refer students that need hours to where students have helped out before. We also post these opportunities on Google Classroom and MHS is building a spot on our school website so all of our students have access to these opportunities and not just our AVID students.
Our National Honor Society Students conduct community service and they created a public space to make all of these opportunities available to all of our students. The space includes instructions for how to sign up and who to contact for more information.

Our AVID Juniors will continue our tradition of making a college trip in April. They will visit 6 college campuses in North Carolina for a 3 day/2 night trip.
In the Fall, our school had a College Fair. There were over 10 colleges represented. In the Spring, our CTE department is holding a Career Fair with 70 career and employment tables.
Our Spring 2023 Career Fair was held on April 5, 2023 with over 70 entities represented.

On October 5, 2022 our College Advisor and our Guidance Department worked together to have a night where students and their parents could come from 6 pm to 8 pm and get more information about completing the FAFSA form.
