Prerequisite: completion of Mandarin Chinese I Grades 10-12, grade 9 with teacher approval 1 Year, 1 World Language or Elective Credit
Mandarin Chinese IV is the fourth year of study in Chinese language. This course is a continuation of Chinese III. The course focuses on speaking, listening, reading and writing to further develop the student’s ability to communicate effectively and appropriately in the language. Through all kinds of classroom activities, role-play, creative writing assignments, quizzes and unit tests, students will build up a more comprehensive understanding of the fundamental grammar of the language, and expand their knowledge of its core vocabulary and commonly used phrases. This class is conducted 100% in Mandarin Chinese. and learn more in the area of cultural studies, and to prepare for more in depth reading of literature. HEAR, NCAA
