OTR supports exceptions on UMN credit for Liberal Education and Course Substitutions for the following populations of students earning UMN credit. 

• Students "transferring" credit earned at a UMN campus within the system (IUT, NAS)  

  • Records updated at the time of application

• Students participating in Multi-Institution program 

  • Fall & Spring: Records updated after the Twin Cities census date

  • Summer: Beginning of August

• Students participating in a Co-sponsored study abroad experience

  • Records updated when final grades received

• Students participating in an Affiliate study abroad experience

  • Records updated when final grades received

• Students participating in an Inter-Institutional Cross Registration with the College of St. Scholastica and the University of Wisconsin Superior
