TouchChat Training

This page contains a 60-minute training video series about the app TouchChat. It is intended for anyone who is interacting with a TouchChat user.

If you are a paraprofessional or other staff member completing this course for credit, you will answer questions about the video on the google form below. Make sure you are signed in to your CVUSD gmail to be able to see and complete the form. You may have seen video A already, so for something new, maybe try video B :). 

If you are a parent, completing this course to learn more about your child, consider the following questions:

• • Which communication strategies does the SLP use during the video?

    • Invite, don't direct?

    • Modeling?

    • Pausing?

    • Hints, not answers?

    • Fun activities, not flashcards?

  • The student uses language for a variety of purposes. Which ones? (Hint: go back to the TouchChat Part 2 video where show a picture with the line "I can request, but can I...?" and I  talk about all the different ways core words can be used)
