This course was offered live on October 9th, 2020, then re-recorded in March 2021. It is a part 2 to my Authentic Communication with AAC Users training. In this course I ask participants to imagine what joyful, fluent communication would be like with their students who use AAC. I discuss obstacles to achieving that goal, and how to overcome them, starting with a growth mindset. Participants learn key strategies for achieving true AAC fluency (including understanding realistic expectations for what "fluency" means!) and will improve their familiarity and comfort with core words through hands-on activities. Modeling on an AAC device can be so much fun!
