Staff Appreciation Week was a big hit this year! The Leadership Class recognized all of the staff members to work here on this campus to make the school the amazing place it is. The staff received: posters, notes, chocolates, cards, pots, and from the school, a special brunch on Friday. Thank you again to the staff of CMS for all you do. You are appreciated more than you know.
The last CMS Spirit Week of the year was last week! The dress up days were: CMS Spirit Day, Beach Day, Anything but a Backpack Day, PJ Day, and Renaissance Day. With this being the last spirit week of the year, the spirit points were counted in grade levels. At the beginning of the week, all of the grade levels had around the same number of points. Unfortunately as the week went on, 7th grade lacked tremendously on their participation. By the middle of the week, there was no way they could pull through to the top. At the end of the week, 6th and 8th grade were super close but at the very end, the 8th graders were the ultimate spirit week winners. This grade level has won every year for their entire middle school career.
Singing in the Rain was an amazing show! If you didn't come, you missed out on a lot of laughs! If you're wondering, Singing in the Rain takes place in the 20th century during the time the first talking picture came out. The play focused on the stars of Monumental Pictures and the complicated plot they undergo. It was a romance/ comedy show and was really full of laughs. The play was led by the high school drama teacher, Mrs. Balistreri, and the set was built by Mr. Stadille. Overall, it was a wonderful show.
