Face Covering

Another essential protective measure against the spread of COVID 19 is the face covering (DTI and DOLE Interim Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID19, DepEd Order s2020-014, DepEd Memo. No 15 s2020, DOLE Order 224-21). In this regard, all stakeholders entering the school campus are required to wear face masks and face shields which are compliant with the DOH standards. Should washable cloth masks be worn, additional filters such as tissue paper inside the mask must be used. However, N95 face masks are recommended and preferred. Additional guidelines on face covering are as follows:

a. Wearing of a face mask and face shield shall be enforced upon entry to the school premises. Such shall be worn correctly at all times (except during certain situations or activities such as eating and drinking).

b. Everyone in the campus is also enjoined to practice the coughing and sneezing etiquette: moving away from others when about to sneeze or cough, using mouth coverings when sneezing or coughing, and immediately washing or disinfecting hands after sneezing or coughing.
