Enhanced Cleaning and Disinfection

Another preventive and protective measure against the spread of diseases is to ensure a clean campus. On this note, the school will make sure that cleaning, disinfection and waste management systems in school buildings, classrooms, offices and learning spaces are in place. Cleaning, disinfection and proper waste disposal will be done regularly by assigned maintenance personnel. Also:

a. Additional and enhanced cleaning will take place in shared spaces where there are frequently touched surfaces, including hallways, stairways, function rooms, restrooms and elevators.

b. Maintenance personnel will conduct extra cleaning and disinfection at the end of the school day.

c. All areas and frequently handled objects such as doorknobs and handles shall be cleansed and disinfected regularly, at least once every two hours.

d. Sanitizing hand rub dispensers shall be made available in strategic areas, especially in corridors, classrooms, and functions rooms.

e. Employees will be advised to conduct surface disinfection of their workstations before they start working, intermittently while they are working, and at the end of their work.

f. Equipment or vehicle entering the school campus must go through a disinfection process.

g. For proper waste disposal, color-coded trash bins will be situated in strategic locations on the school campus. Yellow trash bins with label “medical waste and used PPEs” will be designated to segregate them with other wastes.
