Project - Development project for the Moroccan Red Crescent branch in Taroudant
This project aims to contribute to the sustainable strengthening of the organisational, technical and operational capacities of the provincial branch of the Moroccan Red Crescent (CRM) in Taroudant, enabling it to respond effectively and independently to humanitarian and community needs.
In order to ensure financial autonomy, technical support for the development of a resource mobilisation strategy and assistance with the implementation of income-generating initiatives are being provided. Similarly, training for staff and volunteers is underway on the theme of transparent financial management.

The Commercial First Aid development project is a regional project ranging across Mauritania, Senegal, Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali. Its aim is to contribute to the strengthening of action capabilities of national societies to ensure First Aid practice. In a second phase, a focus will be placed on developing commercial First Aid through marketing strategy support and technical and logistical methodological support for the rollout of Commercial First Aid training.

Development of First Aid in Ukraine
This project aims to strengthen the Ukrainian Red Cross’s capacity to administer high-quality training courses in First Aid. Secondly, to develop commercial First Aid, responding to growing demand from companies and generating addiction income for the URC.

RedPreneur - Ukraine Cohort 2.0, support for social entrepreneurship projects for URCS branches
The objective of the RedPreneur project is to support the Ukrainian Red Cross in improving the financial sustainability of 15 of its branches by developing IGAs. The FRC and Austrian Red Cross expertise in social entrepreneurship is also helping to develop an entrepreneurial skills and business development programme within the RCRC Movement, which could be replicated outside Ukraine.

Development of a nursing school
The project aims to support the Ukrainian Red Cross in setting up a nursing school. The first phase of the project aims to establish a structure for offering nursing training, obtain the necessary licences and equipment for the college, and develop a sustainable educational model for face-to-face and online courses.
A second phase continues in 2025 to finalise the purchase of the building and begin training.
This nursing school will generate income to strengthen the financial viability of the Ukrainian Red Cross.

3 Oceans Project - Project management and financial management support - National societies in the Indian Ocean
In order to promote capacity building in English-speaking National Societies in the Indian Ocean region (Tanzania, Seychelles, Mozambique), funding may be provided to enable these actors to participate in English-language training courses organised by Movement partners or PIROI technical partners. These training courses could, for example, focus on project management or financial management.

Strengthening financial sustainability
Strengthening financial autonomy has been identified as a priority objective for the development of the BRC. The project aims to strengthen the capacities of the Burundian Red Cross, particularly in the finance, administration and human resources departments, in order to meet donor requirements and reduce the risk of expenditure being deemed ineligible.

Project to strengthen the capacity of the Cameroonian Red Cross to provide paramedical training
The project aims to strengthen the physiotherapy training offered by ISEP (Institut Supérieur des Etudes Paramédicales), a training institute in Yaoundé managed by the national headquarters of the CRC. This training institute generates income for the Cameroonian Red Cross.
At the same time, the Nouvelle Aquitaine Red Cross and the Bègles massage therapy training institute have entered into a partnership with the ISEP's physiotherapy department to improve the skills of trainers and supervisors. As a result, exchanges between Cameroonian and French trainers are underway until summer 2025 to strengthen mutual learning and the improvement of techniques and teaching standards.
Finally, a volunteer organisation within the FRC (the Charente regional delegation) will provide financial support to meet needs identified by the training teams: setting up a hands-on workshop at ISEP to complement the practical training provided to students.

Support the creation and financial sustainability of the reception centre for interns in Thiès
The FRC supports the Senegalese Red Cross in establishing a paramedical and First Aid training school. The school runs a fee-paying programme to accommodate and support students from French Red Cross nursing training institutes (IFSI - Croix-Rouge Compétence) in Senegal. The SRC covers accommodation, meals and transport. The income generated by this activity provides a regular source of revenue for the Senegalese Red Cross. A mission to evaluate the centre's services took place from September 30th to October 4th, 2024.

Strengthening nursing training: The Senegalese Red Cross paramedic and First Aid training school
Established in 2015 with support from the French Red Cross, the Senegalese Red Cross (SRC) paramedical and First Aid training school in Thiès is an essential component of health education in Senegal. Located in Thiès (70 km from the capital Dakar), the Centre hosts numerous training courses for SRC First Aiders. At the same location, the Senegalese Red Cross runs a fee-paying programme to welcome and support students from French Red Cross nursing training institutes (IFSI - Croix-Rouge Compétence) in Senegal.

Participation of experts in the national project to strengthen the Benin Red Cross's CFA training provision
As part of the Decentralised International Aid (AID) programme, an expert from the Seine-Maritime regional delegation (DT 76) participated – in his capacity as a trainer of trainers – in strengthening the ‘First Aid for Business’ training programme offered by the Benin Red Cross National Training Centre.

This project aims to strengthen the operational capacities of the National Society in terms of commercial First Aid for the Guinean Red Cross to generate income to increase its financial independence.
The project was carried out in two separate phases. Multiple activities have been carried out such as manual review, capacity building of 8 regional teams in terms of commercial First Aid, acquiring training equipment, raising awareness and promoting commercial First Aid.

A nursery manager from the French Red Cross was called in to boost capacity and optimise the running of the Mauritanian Red Crescent committee's pre-school.
In a second phase, an employee from the Innovation department conducted a needs assessment to identify sustainable sources of income for the local committee, with the aim of eventually covering the preschool's operating costs. Recommendations included creating meeting rooms and guest rooms for rent, as well as setting up a motorcycle-taxi service to generate additional income.

PPP Project - Accelerating local action in humanitarian and health crises in the Democratic Republic of Congo
The project enabled the creation of a waste management centre, which will provide the National Society with a potential source of income through its use by other associations.
It also contributed to strengthening the DRC Red Cross's capacity in data management, through training in the ODK tool, as well as in community engagement and accountability.

Strengthening food security through women's empowerment by means of community-driven development activities of the "Club des Mères" and food security monitoring in the provinces of Hadjer Lamis, Batha and Sila
The project involves conducting a market study to identify an IGA, which will be implemented by a provincial or departmental Red Cross committee. This initiative aims to provide the committees with financial resources.
The members of these committees will be trained in management and simplified accounting to ensure proper management of funds and rigorous monitoring of activities, thereby guaranteeing their sustainability.
