TOOLS FOR EPIDEMIC
The RIPOSTE programme aims to standardise epidemic response and strengthen the capacities of field actors. This platform has been designed to make results, tools and other resources easily accessible to all countries where the Red Cross and Red Crescent operate, as well as to the wider humanitarian community. Welcome!
Global reach
The tools developed under the RIPOSTE programme have been deployed and tested in four sub-Saharan African countries (Guinea, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Chad) as well as in two regional zones supported by the French Red Cross located in the Indian Ocean and the Caribbean.
International impact
All tools created in connection with RIPOSTE activities are made available in all countries worldwide where the Red Cross and Red Crescent operate, and to the broader humanitarian sector. The response materials, designed to extensively address any type of epidemic regardless of the country, are accessible in the RIPOSTE media library.
The programme receives major support from the French Development Agency (AFD) and collaborates closely with its key partners: the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, in collaboration with the Climate Reference Centre and the Disaster Preparedness Reference Centre, the “510” initiative of the Netherlands Red Cross and the French Red Cross Foundation.
