ONGOING INITIATIVE
Branch development and volunteering management
The BraVo project, carried out by 11 PNS and the ICRC, plays a fundamental role in strengthening the capacity of the Ukraine RC to respond to the crisis in Ukraine.
Phase 1 of the project aimed at strengthening the 156 local branches and 24 regional branches of the Ukraine RC to ensure humanitarian aid.
Phase 2 of the project intends to strengthen the sustainability of local and regional branches by developing volunteering and improving leadership and mobilising resources.
The FRC is participating in the BraVo project allowing for strengthening of branch development as well as their ability to attract and retain volunteers of the regional branch of Lviv.
The main areas of focus include attracting volunteers, improving leadership and mobilising resources.

Development of a nursing school
The project aims to support the Ukraine Red Cross in setting up a nursing school. The first phase of the project aims to establish a structure for offering nursing training, obtain the necessary licences and equipment for the college, and develop a sustainable educational model for face-to-face and online courses.
A second phase continues in 2025 to finalise the purchase of the building and begin training.
This nursing school will generate income to strengthen the financial viability of the Ukraine Red Cross.

Development of First Aid in Ukraine
This project aims to strengthen the Ukraine Red Cross’s capacity to administer high-quality training courses in First Aid. Secondly, to develop commercial First Aid, responding to growing demand from companies and generating addiction income for the URC.

RedPreneur - Ukraine Cohort 2.0, support for social entrepreneurship projects for URCS branches
The REDPreneur Ukraine Cohort 2.0 project is a collaborative initiative between the French Red Cross, the Austrian Red Cross and the Ukraine Red Cross Society (URCS). It aims to strengthen the financial sustainability and resilience of URCS branches by promoting entrepreneurship through a combination of training, coaching and financial support for volunteers.
The project builds on the previous REDpreneur Cohort and aligns with the BraVo branch development project strategy, complementing its efforts to strengthen branch capacities and resource mobilisation through social enterprises.

UPCOMING INITIATIVE
Dissemination of procedures and logistical tools and capacity building
The project aims to strengthen the development of the national society in the field of logistics through key training courses on logistics and the recruitment of suitable personnel in the field of logistics.
Project duration : minimum 1 year
