ONGOING INITIATIVE
Project to strengthen the capacity of the Cameroon Red Cross to provide paramedical training
The project aims to strengthen the physiotherapy training offered by ISEP (Institut Supérieur des Etudes Paramédicales), a training institute in Yaoundé managed by the national headquarters of the CRC. This training institute generates income for the Cameroon Red Cross.
At the same time, the Nouvelle Aquitaine Red Cross and the Bègles massage therapy training institute have entered into a partnership with the ISEP's physiotherapy department to improve the skills of trainers and supervisors. As a result, exchanges between Cameroon and French trainers are underway until summer 2025 to strengthen mutual learning and the improvement of techniques and teaching standards.
Finally, a volunteer organisation within the FRC (the Charente regional delegation) will provide financial support to meet needs identified by the training teams: setting up a hands-on workshop at ISEP to complement the practical training provided to students.
