Molly: Nyra, on the other hand, was still circling the fire with her back to it, her lips peeled back in a snarl. Her large, pointed ears twitched subtly in many directions.
Andrew: It seemed the only people that the puppets seemed to get decently along with, and gave them luxuries were news reporters and scientists that specialize in the field of bio-engineering.
Samar: I know if I say it out loud that monster with a pasty Michaels' DIY cow skull will make me sit here in blood soaked clothes waiting for Riley to pick me up as a lay covered in dirt 4 feet in the ground.
Sachi: It was a pleasant place, removed from the distraction of modern life, but no one would be so foolish as to believe perfection was the reality. More often than not, the people who appear the most cheerful are in the most agony.
Yejin: The nighttime air was quiet. A cold draft blew across the snow-coated land, and a distant howl echoed through the forest. A common wolf, of course- it was missing the ethereal tone of a Legend.

Andrew: “What did you tell me?” “Sir, my lips are sealed.”
Felix: My throat was so dry that I could feel the skin sticking together when I swallowed.
Samar: “I honestly can't think of it. To be this reality which feels so fast, to think I could live a life again, a life where I am not bound by the guilt, not bound by the chains of life but rather let them set me free?. I strangely think of the movie Ratatouille, one of my favorites, and the quote the chef says, which I say back to myself, just not in an accent, “If you focus on what you left behind you will never see what lies ahead.” What a perfect way to think about it.
Molly: Zira tried to unsheathe the sword with a flourish, but almost decapitated Nyra, who was saved by a timely drop and roll.
Yejin: The Mooxe. Moose+Ox. It feeds on the leaves of Blood-Thirst Trees, AKA Thistle Trees, which are carnivorous plants that survive on the blood of their prey.

Andrew: We even lived in the most normal neighborhood with overgrown lawns because nobody had the taste to waste their time mowing it. Or having to sign ridiculously long contracts that often had hidden messages within the boundaries of the text and having to deal with the consequences, after a 6 hour work day that often included being berated by the boss because they messed up another design.
Felix: I thought that the last thirty seconds were fully rewinding until I realized that nothing but the glass was changing - the water extracted itself from the sheets, flew into the cup as it righted itself, and hung suspended in the air.
Jacob: I sigh, remembering that I live in this one bedroom, one bathroom, one other room that has a TV, a couch, an oven, microwave, fridge and sink and little else for $955 dollars a month.
Molly: “For worse!” Nyra replied, almost angrily. “He won’t just tell Corvo where we are, he’d be out of it! I’ve fought the fire beasts plenty of times and lived to tell the tale! I’ve warded off kamiatachis, leviathans-” “You can handle it with his help,” Zira added with brutal sensibility. “And I can’t do much.”
Yejin: Nova sniffed the air. It was all so new. So overwhelming! Who knew the world was this big? After a month of being cooped up inside the den, she could finally roam around. But for a wolf pup the size of a sapling, navigating through the snow could be quite difficult. She wobbled and sneezed before regaining her balance and flapped her little wings. In the distance, a throng of snow hares dug through the snow to find some greens.

Andrew: "Well, looks like grumpy bald guy had decided he had better things to do," Stacey mumbled to herself as she strolled down the street, kicking a nutella jar down the way she had to go.
Yejin: Moon and Star straining to keep their heads above the piling snow, suddenly jealous of the light bodies of the hares around them, who were taunting them from above. One hare had the audacity to kick Moon’s snout, but he grabbed it. After at least six months of temperatures even ice dragons would find extreme, its skin was stretched tighter than an old skin on a snake going through a growth spurt, and its flesh was unappetizing.
Samar: “Really? Is that the 'light?' I am not tryna go blind for the rest of my life”.

Bao: Maybe in a another life... We can have a hands on magic celebration to recognize you having your first cell phone. Your mom dared you to take a picture of a bird on a wire that is about to get electrocuted by a purple pillow with metal conductors in them. Don't tell the sleeping baby however, and answers are not allowed, given that she has a connection to birds stronger than the 2 strongest magnets put together. Hey, did you know the only reason your dad got you a phone was that he swiped one off the table and had an official receipt with a forged signature that was written by a pink highlighter to get by security. He is a very secretive man, preferring not to use the public trash cans, but instead carrying 2 sets of woven waste baskets to carry his own garbage. You know whenever your friends come along, they know there must be something more to this. Meanwhile... back at the house you older sister is angry at the sleeping baby for no good reason even though she did nothing.
Yejin: Maybe, in another life, I would choose not to be a babysitter. My cell phone rung and I picked it up, running away from little sticky candy-marker-glue covered hands. " Yes, uh, hello Mrs.Ranger! Yes, everything is totally undercontroll- um, please wait a sec-" I barely ducked a flying purple pillow that hit the window, setting a bird on a wire sqwaking madly. "Sorry," I mouthed, and I thought I saw the bird frowning. Lucy, the youngest, got her hands on a stash of old reciepts, and was throwing them around like confetti.

Jacob: "And then the last star went out. "
Yejin: “You- you slobbering pampered pet pooch!" (from a wolf's POV)
Felix: "The Timekeepers Envoy," began the man in a suddenly deep and mysterious voice, "is a caravan of clockmakers, mechanics, and scientists dedicated to keeping track of the seconds."

Jacob: "Puleshii moved like lightning, and in an instant the blade had flown out of his hand. It was little more than a blur in Deyn’s surprised eyes as it arced through the air."
Yejin: Before the chaos, Stoney had been given the most attention by the pack, not because of her personality and her beautiful dark gray and light underbelly, but because she was the runt. Being a runt apparently made her a tasty meal to some bears or rival packs… and a target for older siblings. Geo, the oldest, would be the one to pin her down when they played, and, if she managed to squirm out, Rocky would interfere and chase her until the adults came to the rescue, or in some rare cases, he got distracted and wandered off elsewhere.
Molly: "The woman fled quickly into the house and returned with a small tin box with a grotesque cartoon fanged rabbit giving a thumbs-up, labeled, Fanged Fiona’s Most Excellent Do-It-Yourself Fanged Rabbit Bite Care Kit... The woman took out the scissors, which were exceedingly dull, lifted one finger away from the surface to text its stickiness (absolutely superb) and tossed the scissors over her shoulder, where they clattered spectacularly in a large bucket.

Molly: "I crossed my arms but then sighed as Indigo looked at me with her most viciously innocent face."
Andrew: Instead some residents of Keansburg had only been “acting” what their ancestors had done, while living in butt ugly log and wood “shacks” which were really modern 2 story homes with brown and grayish paint.

Andrew: "Even though Sam was a drunk, he knew the movements he made were not his."
Molly: "There was a huge rabbit with small sharp claws that had just pawed me to get me to move. A rabbit. However, it seemed to have taken Indigo’s scream as a threat, and it looked up at the two of us, peeling back its lips and hissing like a feral cat. At that moment, Indigo’s panic was explained. It had huge fangs."
Felix: "The Timekeepers Envoy," began the man in a suddenly deep and mysterious voice, "is a caravan of clockmakers, mechanics, and scientists dedicated to keeping track of the seconds." "Why is that so important?”
Yejin: “Ack!!” cried Geo in alarm as the fish flopped near her paws. She jumped back once more to avoid being slapped by the salmon’s tail. The pups tried to attack the fish, but never having been on a hunt, their inexperienced minds were hesitant to bite, wondering if they should or not.
Jacob: However, he could see green in the distance: the great forest that covered the Soraland Provinces and stretched into Veisnerkorr and east of the River Thrye. He suddenly felt deeply homesick.

Andrew: Also have to leave early today. my parents and my brother have a busy schedule, although my favorite line is, "I am trying to respond to you as fast as I can, given that this matter is something that you and I should not take lightly, although my livelihood is being held on the line." Sorry
Mallika: "I thought of an enormous thunderstorm, balled up into the size of a blueberry muffin, but still capable of shooting out jets of lightning. I pointed my hand at the frost viper I had shot the blizzard at and let fly a huge bolt of lightning.
There was a loud crack! Searing heat passed in waves over my arms and face, and a bright light blinded me, but it was all only for a moment- the next one, I was on my knees, panting and rubbing my arms, which stung, and the frost viper was in ashes. "
