What it is:
Creative Writing for Kids is a fun weekly online class for middle school and high school students who have a passion for writing or enjoy writing as a hobby.
When it meets:
The class meets for 90 minutes from 5-6:30
What We Focus On:
Students write both fiction and poetry. I provide two writing prompts for each class, along with a mini-lesson on a specific topic to inspire them. Topics include character development, setting, conflict, dialogue, show-not-tell writing, figurative language, and literary devices, etc.
My goal is for students to develop their creative writing skills in a supportive writing community with like-minded writers. They have opportunities to share their writing and get feedback from their classmates and me.
Tuition:
The tuition is $20-25 per class. I accept Venmo, Zelle, and Paypal. Payment is due in advance for all the classes in a month. There are some scholarships available.
