NAVY NATIONAL DEFENSE CADET CORPS (NJROTC)

The Navy National Defense Cadet Corps mirrors the Navy Jr. Reserve Officer Training Corps in its emphasis on citizenship, leadership, and service. The NNDCC promotes citizenship development which is built on the military model, leadership development, which allows cadets to learn about and practice leadership techniques and methods, and service, which it completes through numerous volunteer activities. By its very nature, the program helps cadets learn responsibility and discipline by leading the unit and their peers. The NJROTC integrated co-curricular activities has a focus on competitive activities and installing a sense of service as well as military customs.
